From 1997 to 2008 he decided to suspend personal and collective exhibitions of his works, being more interested in fully dedicating himself to photography and photojournalism. Nicolini's images have been published in dozens of the most prestigious Italian magazines, as well as in books and periodicals of other countries such as: France, Great Britain, Spain, Germany, Greece, Croatia, Russia, the United States, China, Korea, Australia, Brasil.
In 2009 he came up with a new project, N Group, an association supported by some of the most worldwide well-known names of landscape, nature and underwater photography. The aim is to promote nature photography as an artistic expression of the relationship between man and the natural universe; to artistically revalue the representation of beauty; to create a new global language based on the respect of the beauty of the planet and of all the species that inhabit it; and to obtain, owing to the topicality of his message, the recognition of nature photography as a form of contemporary art.
